About The Author

Ian Bull is the pen name of Donald Ian Bull, a TV producer, writer, director, and editor with 25 years working on some of the most iconic reality shows ever made — including The Real World, Road Rules, The Osbournes, Dr. 90210, Project Runway, The Voice, and Beverly Hills Nannies.

He is the author of the action-adventure thriller trilogy The Quintana Adventures, featuring former Army Ranger turned Hollywood paparazzi Steven Quintana and movie star Julia Travers. The Picture Kills and Six Passengers, Five Parachutes are the first two books, and The Danger Game is the explosive finale.

He also writes the California Romance series — dark romantic thrillers set in different cities and different decades in California. Liars in Love is set in 1980s San Francisco, and Facing Reality: A Hollywood Romance is set in Los Angeles.

He grew up in San Francisco, graduated from UC Berkeley, worked at KQED, then moved to Los Angeles for UCLA Film School and never left. He lives in Studio City with his wife Robin and daughter Lily.
